FAQ

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes engages coaches and athletes to grow in their faith and sport.

Get In Touch

Who can get involved? Boys and girls, ages 7-14 (elementary and middle school students) who are interested in learning more about the sport of Track & Field in a fun and positive environment.

HS students who enjoy working with younger athletes and want to earn volunteer community service hours

Adults and parents who want to volunteer with a faith based organization in coaching or support roles

Organizations and individuals who want to invest in providing club resources like scholarships, uniforms, equipment, etc

Does my child need to have track experience? Absolutely not! We will train every athlete no matter what their experience or talent level. Track & Field is a sport that every athlete can find their best event and improve on their own performances.

Can someone join at any time? Our practices and training are structured so your athlete can join in at any time during the season. All new members are taught our warm up routines and measured for their individual club PR (Personal Record) in several events. This provides a standard for setting goals and measuring progress. After that, they will begin the FUNdamentals training in Speed/Mobility, Strength/Flexibility, and Mechanics.

What if they have to miss some practices? We understand that there will always be conflicts, and have built our program around the premise that "life happens". So, we look forward to seeing everyone when they can make it, and will train them up while they're there!

Who can volunteer to help? Our volunteers include current and former athletes at every level from HS to adult, parents and other adults in the community.  Our HS volunteers can earn community service hours while having lots of fun! Track experience is not required to help out!

Do you have to be a Christian to join the club? EVERYONE is welcome to join us! FCA is the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, so we are faith-based and will be sharing that faith as part of our club.

Which events will my child be learning? Track & Field includes running, jumping and throwing. Our primary focus in those areas will be on sprints and middle distance, long jump, and shot put. Every athlete will learn every event as part of their overall development, and to let them have fun learning something new. We will also have javelin, triple jump and other events in our "Event Expert" clinics.
