Multi-Area Director/Track Club Director
Originally from Miami, Wave graduated from Norland Senior High School as a two year lettermen in football and three year lettermen in track & field. His passion for track remained as he has continued to be involved as an adult, including his current position as a voluntary assistant coach for a local high school. Wave is also passionate, as a father of five young children, about exposing kids to the sport in a positive way while also spreading the Gospel of Christ.
A lifelong runner, Neal ran track at Winter Park HS and is a member of their sports hall of fame. He then continued his athletic career at William & Mary and the University of Florida. He has remained active in the sport as a coach, volunteer and parent. Since joining the FCA staff in April 2012, Neal has made Community Ministry a focus, and running a platform, through FCA Endurance and now as Program Director for the track club. He also still competes in endurance events, including road races and triathlons.
CYA Track Program Director
A former college teammate and close friend of Neal Hayes at William & Mary, Ed re-started the CYA Track program in Northern Virginia over ten years ago after a 2-year period of dormancy. Their club is a model of excellence, sportsmanship and fun which now includes over 400 members, and has produced state champion and nationally ranked athletes. Ed’s advice and support have played a huge role in the development of our club!
Ebony Eutsey-Mertz is originally from Miami, Fl. After graduating from Miami Southridge Senior High as a 6x state champion, she ran track and field on scholarship at UF. As a Gator, she was blessed abundantly, from All-American titles, SEC Champion, record breaking times and many more. Ebony ran under gifted coach Michael Holloway who was able to help lead her into the person she is today. At UF is where Ebony found Christ. She has lived in Orlando since 2015 and has competed on the international level and at the 2016 USA Olympic trials. Currently she is pursuing a career in education in OCPS working in the PE department as a coach for 6-8th grade. This is her second season with FCA.
As a parent of a student athlete, Gillian enjoys sports and has been involved in many roles such as coach, volunteer, and spectator. She understands the importance of proper instruction, encouragement, and dedication in sports, but most important enjoyment of the sport by the student athletes. Gillian loves being a part of a positive athletic atmosphere that also includes prayer and sharing the Gospel.
